This has to be one of the best branches I’ve visited. The space feels open and airy, with a good selection of card tables, roulette, and a nice separate room for poker. The food was tasty too, and every member of staff served us with a genuine smile. All round a really pleasant time.
Attended a work presentation and found parking simple along with a quick sign-in process. The team on duty were welcoming and gave us a rundown of the building – where to find the conference room, restrooms, and the smoking terrace. Everything ran on time and the food we were served was genuinely delicious.
Decent venue overall, my first time trying this branch during a large tournament series. Unfortunately the dealer running the cash poker table wasn’t up to scratch – seemed brand new to it, unsure who’d actually won the pot even after hands were shown, missed handing back change and got the rake wrong more than once. Felt a bit like watching someone on their first shift. A little disappointing, and they clearly need more dealers on the poker side.
The machines kept malfunctioning while I was playing and it was really frustrating. I watched on the CCTV screen how badly the staff handled the situation – instead of switching it off properly when it wasn’t working, they left it going. This happened three separate times and it was honestly a mess. I ended up walking off frustrated just to avoid a scene, and I made several complaints around 10pm that evening. This place is a total letdown, avoid it.
What a brilliant evening we had on the 23rd of March! We turned up for our hen party to watch an Abba tribute. Both the food and the service were fantastic. The staff even came looking for us since we’d missed the start of the show. Sadly we had to leave a bit early to catch our train home, but it was still such a memorable night out.
