Nice way to kill a Monday morning
Had a brilliant time here, the whole team were fantastic and the vibe was lovely. The assistant manager on shift was especially friendly and welcoming. Great job all round!
Really charming spot though it’s on the smaller side. Every single staff member was warm and accommodating. Had a go on the roulette table which was good fun, plus a decent range of machines to try.
I’ve been popping in for ages now and it never fails to be a good time. Everyone working there is consistently kind and approachable, which honestly makes all the difference. There’s a warm, laid-back feel to the whole place and I always leave having enjoyed myself. Genuinely one of the top venues I’ve been to and worth checking out.
Since relocating to the area I’ve popped into the town centre branch every so often, not loads, but often enough that the team now know my face. Every time I’m greeted so kindly, and the servers go out of their way to help. Massive thanks to a couple of the ladies behind the bar for how thoughtful they’ve been. Also scooped a nice win at the poker table recently, brilliant stuff! And the gent running the poker room is an absolute gent himself. Cheers to everyone there.
Can’t recommend this place after what happened. We turned up as a group having had a few drinks, and the two calmest, most sober people among us – both with foreign backgrounds or names – got refused entry for supposedly being too intoxicated. The pair on the door that night could hardly form a coherent sentence themselves and seemed to enjoy having that bit of control over us. Frankly some proper training on discrimination wouldn’t go amiss, though it feels like this points to a bigger cultural problem within the business. Not on.
